Artisic Education

Organ Studies at the Viennese University of Music with Michael Radulescu and harpsichord with Gordon Murray as well as studies of church-music. During his years of study he was second organist at the historic organ in the Michaelerkirche in Vienna and und lecturer at the Viennese academy of music for early-music.

Competitions & Awards

Laureate at the International Competition in Brügge (harpsichord 2001) and Odense (organ, 2004).

Artistic Career

Already during his studies Johannes Hämmerle could establish himself as a soloist and accompanist in early-music-ensembles like Armonico Tributo Austria and Oman Consort. Participant at festivals like Bachfest Leipzig, Händel-Festival Halle, the Ambraser Castle Concerts and the Early Music Festival Prague. As organist he emphasises music of the 19th and 20th century. Solo concerts at styriate in Graz, the organfeast in St. Michael in Vienna, the Festival Symphonische Orgelkunst in Dornbirn and at the Bruckner Organ St. Florian.
