The Minoritensaal is part of an early baroque cloister, which was built around the period of 1607 according to plans of Giovanni Pietro de Pomis. The hall was the former summer refectory, which was built from 1691 on by Joachim Carlone. Stucco and fresco on the ceiling are by Antonio Maderni (1702), the monumental painting on the front side of the hall is by Johann Baptist Raunacher (1732).
