Bernhard Krabatsch was born in Wels, Austria, and studied in Vienna with Wolfgang Schulz.

Artistic career

His career as a soloist has taken him to some of the most renowned festivals throughout Europe. He performed at the Salzburg Festival, the festival weeks in Vienna and Berlin as well as the Easter Festival in Lucerne, where he appeared in concerts with musicians including Murray Perahia, Aurèle Nicolet, Sándor Végh and the Hagen Quartet. Bernhard Krabatsch is the principal flutist of both the Mozarteum Orchestra and the Camerata Salzburg.

Teaching activity

Serves on the faculty of the University Mozarteum in Salzburg.
