Moreb Mahran

Artistic education
Degree at the department of Eastern Music in the academy of Jerusalem, playing the Kanoun, under the surveillance of professor Taiseer Elias. At the moment he is student for M.Mus. at the music- and dance-academy of Jerusalem (Artist Degree).

Artistic career

Mahran Moreb is music arranger and composer, working for several singers and a children’s musical theatre. As a Kanoun player he is part of serveral ensembles like ‘Watar’ or ‘Alfarabi’ ensemble. He performed in numerous festivals in Israel and oversea such as the Oud Festival- Jerusalem, Yabous Festival, Eastern-Jerusalem, Les Voix des Pays in France and many more.

Recordings
As Kanoun Bozok, Saz player Mahran recorded disks and many songs; nowadays working on some new (CD) recordings.

Teaching
Kanoun teacher and assistant tutor in the music and dance academy of Jerusalem. Kanoun teacher in both Shefar-Am and Ibillin's conservatories, furthermore he works as a private Kanoun teacher.
