Studied contrabass at the University of Music in Vienna at Ludwig Streicher.

Artistic Career
Member of the Wiener Symphoniker during studies, 1990 solo bassist of the orchestra, world premiere of many solo compositions for contrabass, Concert activities in the Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, concerts with Joe Zawinul, Ingrid Jensen, Tatiana Grindenko, Alexej Lubimov, Nigel Kennedy, Ernst Kovacic, Milan Turkovic, the Haydn Trio Wien, EOS Quartett, Aron Quartett, Wiener Klaviertrio, Vienna Symphony Jazz Project and the contrabass-sextet Bass Instinct. 

Competitions and Awards
1989 he got his diploma with distinction and the national award of appreciation.

Teaching Activity
Since 1997 a contrabass class at the private university Konservatorium Wien is headed by him.
