Born in Vienna. Studied English and German at the University Vienna.
Career
1977 - 1995 adult education at the adult education center and the high school for adults in Vienna.
1980 -1982 Lecturer at the German Department of University College London. Since 1994 lecturer at the English and American department of the University in Vienna. Literary analysis of the English contemporary novel.
Since 1993 freelancer for the ORF / Radio Österreich 1 (Pasticcio, Apropos Klassik, Musikgalerie etc.), BBC/Radio 3.
Since 2002 consultant for cultural matters of the Finnish embassy in Austria.
