Mendelssohn Vladimir

Born in a family with a long musical tradition Vladimir Mendelssohn followed the destiny of the name and studied viola and composition.

After finishing his studies he followed a dual career which brought him all over the world in his solo and chamber music duties as well as in the composer or arranger opportunities. Vladimir Mendelssohn has performed in the “New York Carnegie Hall”, “Wigmore Hall”, in Japan and South America. One of his numerous recordings, the for his Brahms Lieder with Jaard van Nes PAVANE, got the AVRO public prize. Among his compositions are works for chamber music orchestra, choir, ballet and film.
