The Old Church of St. Bartholomä was built in app. 1200 and was first mentoined in records 1393. During the 18th century the church was rebuilt, but lost its importance in the 19th century and nearly fell into ruin after that. Dr. Hanns Koren, the member of the provincial goverment for cultural affairs, arranged its renovation in the 1970ies. The Old Church is the landmark of the small town Bartholomä and used as a mortuary and for cultural events.
