Since 1985, the ensemble Dramsam, has dedicated itself towards the musical heritage of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, nonetheless contributing to productions of contemporary music involving early instruments. Dramsam aims at offering to the audience a generous musical rendering of the rich medieval repertoire, in which a respectful Historically Informed Performance Practice combines with the necessary awareness of today performing attitudes. Particular attention is devoted to the reconstruction, based on musicological and organological research, of the instruments possibly used in Medieval and Renaissance Europe.

Dramsam performs regularly in major Italian and international festivals and cultural events.

The ensemble is directed by Giuseppe Paolo Cecere.
