Erko Schloss

The history of the castle begins in the year of 1070, when defence towers were built for the reason to motion to other castles with fire when the enemy was approaching. 
The early-baroque castle was in the posession of Vinandina Marquise d’Aubigny of Engelsbrunn from 1832 on. She was court lady of the fifth maharadja of Madras. Her death is mysterious - she was found dead together with her dog in the castle. Today the family Normann owns the building.
